Randall E. Beck, 65

Randall E. Beck, who everyone knew as Randy, 65, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away peacefully June 25, 2022, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House of North Idaho. He was born on Nov. 9, 1956, in Wallace, Idaho, the son of Dale and Marianne "Sis" Beck.

In 1975, Randy graduated from Wallace High School. After graduation, Randy worked various jobs around the Silver Valley until he moved to Oregon in the mid 80s where he became a heavy equipment operator. He then moved to the Seattle area where he worked for General Metals of Tacoma for several years becoming certified in almost every type of crane made. He then moved back to Idaho in 2005 and, most recently, worked for Garco Construction until he retired in December of 2019.

Some of his favorite past times included spending time with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandson, Brody, racing their RC cars together. He enjoyed watching sports, the Seattle Seahawks and Gonzaga basketball were some of his favorites. He liked playing golf or just going to the driving range to hit some balls. Oh, and let us not forget his love for the game of pool. Randy shot a lot of league pool in the Silver Valley in the 70s and 80s.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Dale Beck; mother, Marianne "Sis" Badgley; step-father, Wendell Badgley; his son, Jerrod Beck; sisters, Dalene Beck and Tamara Stone; brothers-in-law, Tom Stone and Mark Spleiss; and his nephew, Kevin Layland. Randy is survived by his son, Anthony "Tony" (Shelly) Beck and grandson, Brody of Hayden; his brother, Jack (Julie) Beck of Post Falls; three step-siblings, Rick Badgley of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Jeanie (Tom) Layland of Dillingham, Alaska, and Angie Spleiss of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; nieces and nephews: Scott, Samantha, Ali, Tyler, Todd, Andra, Trent and Braden.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of North Idaho (www.hospiceofnorthidaho.org). There will be a celebration of Randy's life at a later date.
