PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: Lakeland struggles in loss at Moscow
MOSCOW — Lakeland was held to 26 points through three quarters in a 56-40 loss to the Moscow Bears in Inland Empire League play Friday night at Bear Den.
Bryce Henry scored 13 points for Lakeland (6-7, 2-2 IEL), which trailed 51-26 after three quarters.
Jamari Simpson hit four 3-pointers and scored 22 points for Moscow (11-6, 3-0 IEL), which won 63-49 at Lakeland on Dec. 17. Bryden Brown added 13 points for the Bears.
“Moscow plays hard defense and we struggled getting anything going tonight,” Lakeland coach Tony Hanna said. “They also have lots of good shooters, so you have to guard all of them on the perimeter. Simpson is a really good player who beat us inside and out.”
Lakeland plays host to Timberlake on Wednesday.
