LIBRARY: Public input explained

| January 16, 2022 1:00 AM

The Library Board of Trustees welcomes any community input. This can be accomplished through library staff, public comments at the beginning of a board meeting or by direct contact with a trustee. The following statements should help to clarify citizens’ line of communication.

Citizens have always been allowed the same time for public comment at a virtual meeting that they have at an in-person meeting.

Written statements and other pieces of information presented by citizens are transmitted to all trustees.

Meeting notices include the specific information necessary to join the meetings by Zoom.

Equipment and assistance for joining a Zoom discussion are available at the library.

During each meeting at least one trustee will be present in the Community Room where citizens can observe the meeting and give public comment; we are working on improving our equipment for this.

Even for totally in-person board meetings a Zoom link will be provided to allow citizens to participate remotely.

The Coeur d’Alene Public Library is here to serve you.
