POST FALLS — Police arrested a man who allegedly distributed child sexual abuse material via the internet.

Investigators reportedly downloaded more than 70 gigabytes of illegal material — enough data to fill 14 DVDs — believed to originate from Hartline.

After obtaining a warrant to search Hartline’s residence, law enforcement reportedly seized digital evidence for further examination and arrested Hartline.

Numerous agencies assisted with the investigation, including the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, the U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office, the Moscow Police Department and the Rathdrum Police Department.

This matter remains under active investigation.
