The Coeur d’Alene Fire Department responded to more than 10,000 calls for help in 2021, a record number of emergency responses.

“We had 11 firefighters that each responded to over 1,000 calls,” the department posted on its Facebook page.

It’s already off to a busy year, with 40 calls for services on Jan. 3, 33 on Jan. 4, 29 on Jan. 5 and 32 on Jan. 6

The majority are medical calls and more than 10 lift assists.
