PREP ROUNDUP: Timberlake falls twice in Rollie Lane tuneup

FRUITLAND — Timberlake’s Paul Sundstrom won by pin against Fruitland, then won again at 106 pounds by forfeit against Weiser in a double dual on Thursday at Fruitland High.

Fruitland beat Timberlake 60-13, then Weiser defeated the Tigers 75-12. Weiser won nine matches by pin.

Timberlake competes in the Rollie Lane Invitational today and Saturday at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.

• POSTPONEMENTS

Heavy snow creating hazardous driving conditions ended up postponing a handful of prep games on Thursday and another scheduled for tonight.

In boys basketball, the Mullan at Genesis Prep and Kellogg JV at Kootenai games were called off, as well as girls games between the schools.

The St. Maries at Wallace girls basketball game was also called off due to road conditions.

North Idaho Christian’s boys basketball game at Country Christian, and North Idaho Christian’s girls basketball game at Christian Heritage, were both rescheduled for Monday.

A boys basketball game pitting Lakeside at Kootenai, scheduled for tonight, was also postponed.

No makeup dates were announced for the other games.
