JUDICIAL SYSTEM: Upside down
My name is Devin Lawson and I am currently at the Kootenai County Jail for violating my misdemeanor probation. I did not transfer my probation from here to Latah County. Although I was in compliance the whole time with the judgment, completing steps each week in class, I simply “spaced” transferring my paperwork and that 100% falls on me. My fault. Whoops. I sat here from Dec. 9 until Jan. 19 with NO bond.
This misdemeanor charge stemmed from me texting my ex and her boyfriend not nice stuff during our divorce. I got a misdemeanor disturbing the peace. It was the hardest season of my life. With that said, you can’t talk the way I talked to them, so I take full responsibility for that. In no way am I trying to do anything here outside from exposing our corrupt, backward, insane, disgusting judicial system.
I just want to know how ANY judge could have given Branson and Harris, the two who used forcible penetration on a 7-week-old, broke 14 baby bones, bruised the baby’s face and whatever else, a $20,000 bond? With a bondsman that’s 10% and they walk out for $2,000 cash. I am literally in tears writing this thinking about that defenseless baby.
This is on the disgusting system that Idaho has. Shame on Idaho, shame on this judge for protecting these predators, and shame on anyone who has this judge’s back.
