Few named a Naismith Coach of the Year candidate

ATLANTA – Gonzaga men's basketball coach Mark Few is one of 15 late season candidates for the 2022 Werner Ladder Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Friday.

Few was named last year's Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year and received the honor in 2017.

Few has guided the Bulldogs to a 22-2 record thus far, which marks their 25th straight season with at least 20 wins. He led GU one win shy of its 10th straight WCC regular season title. Gonzaga is currently No. 1 in both the Associated Press and coaches’ polls.

The list will be narrowed down to four finalists in March. The award winner will be announced in April.
