TRASH: A pox on N. Idaho

I am writing this to see if people in the area care about the look of their city. We moved here a couple of months ago from Boise and I am shocked and appalled by the amount of trash littering the byways.

Driving along I-90 between Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene is disgusting. I contacted city hall and they said it was a Department of Transportation issue. I contacted them and they said they do not have the manpower to do anything about it.

My husband and I have volunteered our time but we need the community’s help. This is not a two-person job. Is there a way to get the community on board to get this city cleaned up?

I look forward to our family coming to visit but I am also embarrassed. I would appreciate any advice or help you can offer.
