Lila L. Miller, 77

Lila L. Miller, 77, of Dalton Gardens, Idaho, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 15, 2022. Lila Lee Wilson was born in Butte, Montana. During childhood, her family spent time in Blue Creek, Idaho. In 1962, she graduated from Butte High School. Shortly after she moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho where she was married and had two sons, Dean (Michelle) McEnaney and Terry (Kim) McEnaney.

Years later, on January 9, 1991, at the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona she married her loving husband of 31 years, Spencer J. Miller. Lila Miller is survived by her husband Spencer; her brothers Hal (Carol) Wilson and Robert Wilson; her sister Kathy (Steve) Forsness, and numerous family and friends.

Known to her grandchildren as Grandma Pug/Hugs, she gave the best birthday and “Christmas-after-Christmas” gifts. She enjoyed eating a famous Hudson’s Hamburger with her beloved grandchildren: Curtis (Tami) McEnaney, Sabrina McEnaney, Samantha McEnaney, Kaimana McEnaney; great-grandchildren, Devin McEnaney and Lexi McEnaney.

Lila is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Wilson and Kathryn (Newell) Wilson; nieces, Susie (Wilson) and Jennifer Forsness.

Lila worked at Household Finance prior to working for GTE Phone Mart (later Verizon) where she repaired phones, was a telephone operator, and a sales associate until her retirement. Lila enjoyed shopping, DIY projects, and gardening. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hayden Lake and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Lila’s family suggests any memorial contributions be made to St. Vincent de Paul, Humane Society, or Hospice of North Idaho Schneidmiller Hospice House.
