LC State adds Johnson to cross country roster

LEWISTON — LC State cross country announced the signing of Haileyann Johnson of Timberlake High to a letter of intent. Johnson will join the Warriors in the fall.

Johnson placed second at state twice and holds a career-best 5k time of 20:41. On the track she has raced personal best times of 12:48 in the 3200m and 6:00 in the 1600m. She earned all-conference honors all four years for cross country and twice for track. Johnson also competes for Timberlake’s basketball team.

“Looking forward to adding Haileyann to our family,” LC State head coach Mike Collins said. “She comes from a program with great history, and we have had a number of runners over the years that have run for us that came from that school. All have done very well and there is no doubt that she will do the same. She has a great attitude and work ethic and she will use that to make herself and the team better.”
