NIC: ‘Unthinkable is happening’

I’m still confused. How can there be so many who want NIC destroyed that the NIC Board’s Terrible Trio feel compelled by voters?

NIC has helped countless students improve their lives, and it has provided the least expensive option for higher education to everyone, including students still in high school. NIC also makes a huge economic contribution to the region by attracting businesses to the area, through students’ use of their financial aid awards, and by employees spending their salaries locally. These easily compensate for the small property tax paid to NIC by property owners.

The Terrible Trio has not declared a purpose for their push to gain total control of NIC operations, nor have they provided specific plans for NIC’s future. Where are the real Republican friends of NIC? How can they allow the ruinous renegade right to use the Republican name to legitimize their terrible actions? Shouldn’t Republicans have a “come to Jesus” intervention with Banducci and Regan?

I can’t imagine North Idaho without NIC. How can anyone who cares about our home? We are on the verge of a bankrupt institution with no role in higher education except maybe men’s and women’s wrestling teams. NIC cannot survive as a private Christian college except through huge donations and exorbitant tuition. Their doors would be closed to the majority of local students because of higher costs.

The Terrible Trio doesn’t know what they’re doing, so they’re doing it wrong. The unthinkable is happening, and I don’t understand why.
