RIVER’S EDGE: Higher density than wanted

Well, River’s Edge Apartments is approved. And at a density that is much greater than the city supposedly wanted but the city ‘gets’ a trail alongside the river. The developer played the city like a fiddle and got what he wanted for nothing. It never should have any approvals/annexation until that trail was set as a ‘given’ but by allowing it to become a bargaining pawn, poof! The density is much higher than prior discussions.

Let’s hope the city does a better job at keeping Coeur Terre to something other the huge density they want in an area where most nearby homes are a minimum one-third acre lot.
