NIC ‘FUSS’: It goes back to one man

If you will recall the people causing all this fuss at the college were the same people Mr. Regan told everyone to vote for. Brent Regan, the self-appointed spokesperson for the Republican party, trust me he is not.

I have volunteered to work the polls for a few years and every year his people would be standing by with their handouts, telling people who they should vote for. Unfortunately, because many good-minded people are lazy, they go along with this self-appointed guardian of Republican values.

Voting has always been a privilege. When you give that privilege to someone else, you get what they think. Voting responsibility does take some work, looking at both sides and ultimately putting aside your personal bias and voting for what is good for the country or your community.

I suggest next time you see Mr. Regan’s hit list published in the paper of whom to vote for, ignore it and do your own due diligence. You might choose the right or wrong person, but at least you chose for yourself and did not give away your right to vote.

I know some of you think, but he is published in the paper all the time in the opinion section, so he must know things I don’t. I am sure he does and I am sure some of his opinions make sense, but here is the thing, they are not your opinions or your values.
