MESSIAH: Kudos to all involved

Among the many concerts in Coeur d’Alene this season was the “Messiah” held on Dec. 4 at the Schuler Auditorium at the NI Campus. The approximate 17-piece orchestra was magnificent, the 40 some choir members superb, the four soloists unbelievable, and the conductor Kent Kimball relentless and infallible directing the complex music. I was among those who clapped, and wept, and sang, and stood for the Hallelujah Chorus and enjoyed it immensely.

Most know the Messiah’s theme of the Advent, Life, and Return of Jesus, but hearing the music and singing along with it was breathtaking and inspiring. In The Press advertisement, a comment was made that the presentation might become an annual tradition, I hope it might. The auditorium was completely filled with overflow. (We arrived at 2:15 for the 3 p.m. performance). Thank you Music Conservatory and co-sponsors for presenting it.
