NIC MEETING: Let the board do its job

The outrageous disruption of the NIC BOT meeting on Saturday, Dec. 10 should NEVER have been allowed. This is a business meeting of the board! They are working to address leadership and the future of the college.

I am an 82-year-old woman and voter in this county. The college has been in need of a direction that supports the will of the voter and needs of the students. Changes that are uncomfortable to those inside the circle are difficult but necessary. The voters have spoken and given their voice to the current board. This should not be disregarded. The students deserve the very best. They also deserve to be educated but NOT indoctrinated. I have personal knowledge of this being an issue.

What was allowed in this meeting is indicative of mob mentality that only brings division and hate to this school. That the NIC security did not remove the disrupting individuals is a shame on them. And an unbecoming view of the college.

This cannot continue as it will only make matters worse. There needs to be a new president that is willing to bring to light the problems while at the same time providing leadership into the solutions!

LET THE BOT’s DO THEIR JOB to make NIC a shining light without constant concerns as to the actions continued by the current “inside circle” and administration.

The way forward can be beneficial when respect and patience are the order of the day.
