NIC: Throwing it away

As an alumnus of North Idaho College, along with many family members, I have watched the slow demise of this beloved college with sadness. It boggles my mind to believe that the current board of directors (minus the two recruits that are trying to do right) desire to kill our college, but that is the path they are taking.

When Banducci led the charge to fire President MacLennan (without cause) and install his puppet Sebaaly (who is credentialed as an instructor, not an experienced college president), we watched with sadness.

When the board vacancies were filled with three good men who worked to set things right, we had a glimmer of hope. The glimmer began to fade after the recent election, and one of the three open seats was filled with another Banducci puppet. To make matters worse, the one person who could speak up to save us, attorney Lyons, resigned.

This week we read that the board, who aren’t following proper procedures on several issues, has replaced the current President Swayne (a highly qualified man) with the puppet Sebaaly again. I don’t say that lightly, as I have observed Sebaaly at college functions, and he hasn’t represented the college as a president should; he is a wrestling coach — not a president — and he’s just following orders.

My question is this: who has the power to get rid of Banducci? “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
