GRINER SWAP: Show’s Biden administration’s priorities

Britney Griner was swapped for a Russian arms dealer, yet a former Marine was not swapped.

Let’s look at the players. Viktor Bout, also known as the “Merchant of Death,” was a notorious arms dealer responsible for the death of untold Americans. On Nov. 2, 2011, Bout was convicted by a jury in a Manhattan federal court of conspiracy to kill U.S. citizens and officials, delivery of anti-aircraft missiles and providing aid to a terrorist organization.

In February 2022, Griner was detained by Russia customs officials after cartridges containing hashish oil were found in her luggage. She was later arrested on smuggling charges.

On June 15, 2020, Paul Whelan was convicted and sentenced to 16 years in a Russian prison for espionage by a court in Moscow.

Now let’s compare, Whelan is white, a former police officer and a Marine for five years. Griner is black, lesbian and by all accounts a great basketball player.

Do away with male/female, do away with race, do away with sexual orientation, what’s left? Basketball or serving your country and community.
