MOSCOW HOMICIDES: Speak up if you have info

The terrible loss of four young lives in Moscow has sent a shock wave throughout our community, our state and nation. There is a pall in the air that is palpable. This event is weighing heavily on people’s hearts and souls.

In a few short weeks four families will be navigating through the Christmas season without their beloved, precious children. I cannot even imagine how difficult that will be.

Idaho is dear to my heart. I have always known Idahoans to be caring, decent, kind souls. Like any place, we have some folks with bad intentions, but they do not define us. We prefer to shine a brighter light on goodness and helping others.

On that note, I would like to remind everyone that decent local folks have assisted authorities in solving some high profile crimes. The alert waitress at Denny’s who served Shasta Groene and her abductor, and called the police, who arrested him. This past summer another citizen saw a group of folks pile into a U-Haul, called the police, and most likely prevented a riot.

Please, if you have seen or heard something in regard to this case, speak up. We have seen where citizens have aided law enforcement by doing so. The above cases are just two examples of that.

I know we will not rest until resolution and justice happen in this case.

These four promising children and their families deserve that.
