GUNNER: Senseless loss

| December 2, 2022 1:00 AM

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Chamberland family, having lost their loyal and devoted German shepherd, Gunner, to an act of poisoning. On Thanksgiving day no less.

They aren’t just a “dog.” They become our children. The ONLY living being on this planet that genuinely loves us unconditionally and loyal to a fault.

There is no legitimate excuse one can give for this poison chicken. Does it not occur to people that we humans are the uninvited, intruding and inhabiting every nook and cranny with more real estate? We are the ones infringing on wildlife’s once sprawling, mostly peaceful land that is the only home wildlife knows and pushing them further to where?

Anyone with half a brain would have known the high probability of a domestic pet inadvertently eating this poison chicken. Shame on you. I hope karma sees you in jail. If you don’t like sharing this beautiful area with the abundant wildlife population, you should pack up your junk and go back to the over populated like-minded state you came from. RIP Gunner, good ol boy.
