'Tis the Christmas market and bazaar season

Get into the holiday spirit and enjoy one of the many Christmas markets, craft fairs and bazaars taking place around Kootenai County.

European Christmas Market | 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at McIntire Park in Hayden. Open-air market inspired by Christkindlmarkts in Germany, Austria and other countries. Admission $5.

Annual Christmas Bazaar | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec 3 at Community Presbyterian Church, 417 N. William St., Post Falls. Wreaths, jewelry, wood products, quilts, blankets, beach and seaside decor, holiday cards, fleece throws, Scentsy, Norwex, Color Street Nail products (gift packages), themed bar stools, foot stools and benches. Homemade fresh cookies, holiday treats and orange rolls for sale. Soup and bread lunch for sale Saturday only from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Winterfest and Plaza Market | 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 at Post Falls City Hall Plaza, 408 N. Spokane St., Post Falls. Holiday market vendors, activities for kids, outdoor fire pits, Post Falls Museum holiday singalong, holiday tree lighting and caroling, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Free admission. Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 4. Athol Farmers Market at Athol Community Center, 30355 N. Third St., Athol. Local artisans.

Holiday Craft Fair | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Christian Center School, 3639 W. Prairie Ave., Hayden. Holiday shopping, local vendors and crafters.

Snowflake Faire | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 501 E. Wallace Ave., Coeur d’Alene. Gift basket raffle, craft vendors, kitchen goodies, homemade soup & pie lunch, gently used treasures. Free admission.
