Cd'A Chamber Women's Luncheon coming up

Every year, women in our community look forward to our annual Women’s Luncheon as a time for celebration and inspiration. On Nov. 3, at The Coeur d’Alene Resort, we are overjoyed to once again host this inspiring event. This year, we are welcoming guest speaker Amberley Snyder, who will share her story of triumph in the midst of incredible tragedy.

Demonstrating a fiercely competitive spirit, Amberley grew up participating in barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, and goat tying. But in 2010, Amberley’s life changed forever when a car accident left her paralyzed below the waist. Amberley was forced to face a radically different lifestyle, and even worse, that she may never be able to ride again.

Amberley’s perseverance enabled her to overcome this challenge, and she has since gone on to compete in rodeo competitions, even being featured on the Today Show, as well as a Netflix film. She also wrote and published her book, Walk Ride Rodeo.

Our Women’s Luncheon Planning Committee believes Amberley’s story will inspire community members of all ages and abilities.

Jennifer Smock, co-owner and managing broker of Windermere CDA/Post Falls, selected this year's speaker.

“Amberley's story is remarkable, her ability to take her own life back after her accident and not allow it to define who she is, is a beautiful reminder of triumph over tragedy," Smock said.

This year’s luncheon promises to be an enriching event for the entire community. Aside from the inspiration to face hardships with grit and fortitude, we will be raffling off a designer handbag full of gift cards. We all face hardships in life. How we react to these challenges says a lot about who we are and where we’re going. As our community hears Amberley’s story, we will glean a renewed courage to face life’s difficulties. We hope you’ll join us! For registration information, visit www.cdachamber.com/events.
