Stasney, Edward James, 90

Edward James Stasney of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday evening, Aug. 7, 2022. Born Feb. 27, 1932, in Seattle, he attended Gonzaga University on a music scholarship until called to active duty in support of the Korean War. After military service, Ed attended Seattle University on a music scholarship and performed professionally for over two decades.

Ed married in 1968 and is survived by his eight adult children, 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a handful of great-great-grandchildren; a nephew, a great-niece and nephew, cousins and many other family friends whom he loved and encouraged over the years. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial mass will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with a graveside to follow at 1:45 p.m., at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Road, Medical Lake, WA 99022.
