CdAEDC/Jobs Plus annual meeting on Sept. 7

COEUR d'ALENE — The Coeur d’Alene Economic Development Corporation/Jobs Plus, Inc., has scheduled its annual meeting on Sept. 7.

"Building for the Future" is the theme of the meeting scheduled 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.

Topics will include "the interconnectedness of workforce, housing, and business climate."

"Models have shifted and businesses need to start thinking differently about success and the regional economy," according to a press release.

Gov. Brad Little is expected to share a few comments, while the keynote speaker will be Drew Repp of Lightcast.

Gynii Abracosa Gilliam, president and CEO, will give the annual report.

She joined CdAEDC/Jobs Plus in 2015 and leads an community economic development team that she credits with helping close to 100 expanding and relocating businesses bring more than $150 million of new capital to the region, along with over 2,000 new direct jobs and around $75 million in new payroll from 2015 to 2019.

The nonprofit Coeur d’Alene Area Economic Development Corporation/Jobs Plus, Inc. was established in 1987 with a goal to diversify the region’s economy by helping businesses create jobs through expansion, attraction and creation.
