Cd'A PARKS: A blessing to us all

| August 5, 2022 1:00 AM

I just wanted to say kudos to the Coeur d’Alene Parks Department. A few months ago we made plans to have a family gathering at the Pavilion in McEuen Park. Just one quick trip to the City Hall and we easily made the arrangements. The rental for six hours was very reasonable plus we were charged a $100 deposit which would later be refunded upon completion of our event.

Last Sunday morning was our special date and upon arrival at the Pavilion we found a very clean facility, bathrooms open on site, electricity already turned on so we could plug in our fans to compensate for the hot weather and a Parks employee was on site. The perimeter of the Pavilion was already chained off and a sign indicating that the place had been reserved for us. Not only was all that great but in less than 48 hours after our party, I got an email from the Parks Department indicating they had already processed our deposit refund. Wow!

I have lived all my life in Coeur d’Alene and know what a blessing it is to be here but also know that the work the Parks Department does at the parks all over town, including McEuen Park is a blessing to all of us.
