PRESS: Shouldn’t publish Regan columns

| August 3, 2022 1:00 AM

Almost choked on my breakfast seeing the another political diatribe from Brent Regan. Really, Press? You continually feature his hateful and often inaccurate opinions. Why?

I have shoes that have been in Kootenai County longer than Regan has. I’m still astonished he somehow fooled enough people to become the czar of the KCRCC. He’s a self-proclaimed political kingpin who lives only to beat down this community with hate, fear, exaggerations and outright lies. He and his faithful minions have pushed their agenda into everything they can.

And the sorry part is, I’ve never seen any true community spirit in any of them. It’s like an infestation of aliens who’ve come only to take over. And our community is the worst for it. I see it every day. They are killing my hometown. And Regan is dancing on the ruins and laughing in the face of what once was a respectable Republican Party.

Well, that boat has sailed and I have zero respect for anyone sinking with the current KCRCC. You have no integrity and its embarrassing to see people, who 20 years ago wouldn’t have put up with this crap, now suck it up like a root beer float.

And you, Coeur d’Alene Press. Same day, you bury an article refuting Regan by two long-standing and respectable members of our community and the Republican Party in the last section. That should have been the feature and stick Regan with the funny page. Or the obituaries.

I grew up with The Press. I delivered bundles to paperboys when it was an afternoon edition. I read it every morning. I treasure it for my local news. Now I am disgusted at the forum you give to those who have no sense of what this community really is. I’m disappointed in you.
