PARTIES: Generalities don’t help

I’m a lifelong Republican but unfortunately Karen’s opinion of Democrats (April 6 Press) could also apply to many Republicans.

Not all Democrats are bad nor are all Republicans good. We are all Americans with differing opinions but calling each other names or putting labels on people accomplishes nothing.

All citizens, be whatever, need to be able to sit down and talk and really listen to each other. You might find that there are agreements on some things, of course not all or we wouldn’t have different parties, but you might be surprised at the fact that most want what’s best for our country/state/city.

We need to find some kind of agreement without the name calling and yelling and start to get our country/state/city back from the far left and far right. Back to some civility.

I certainly pray that we can do this for our children and grandchildren so they can have a future in our great county. Just remember, “Together we stand, divided we fall.”

Really give that some thought.
