NIC GOLF: Vassar runner-up in spring opening Pacific Invitational

NORTH PLAINS, Ore. — North Idaho College sophomore Tyler Vassar finished runner-up with a 147 at the Pacific Invitational at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club’s Witch Hollow Course on Tuesday.

Sophomore James Swan finished tied for fifth with a 149 for NIC. The Cardinal men finished fourth in the 12-team tournament with a 615.

Sophomore Emily Elliott was the top Cardinal finisher in the women’s tournament, finishing tied for 17th with an 88.

NIC competes in a Northwest Athletic Conference match next Sunday and Monday at Grays Harbor Golf Course.
