JACKSON: Well, you asked

| April 1, 2022 1:00 AM

I had my funny bone tickled by some of George Silva’s comments. I have read previous comments by this man, so I understand that he’s not a fan of President Biden.

You say it is discrimination that he wanted a Black woman on the Supreme Court. So that is racist? Was it also racist when the former president wanted a woman on the bench and chose Amy Coney Barrett? Both are women: one is white, and one is Black.

Republicans got three judges on the bench, which completely swayed the court. Obama got ripped off when Mitch changed the rules. Is this fair?

You state you know nothing of her qualifications. Well, then you aren’t following current events.

Sir: She attended Harvard University and Harvard Law; clerked for Justice Breyer, appellate court from 2013-2021; district judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia; vice chair of U.S. Sentencing Commission and is a member of the Harvard Board of Overseers.

She answered tough questions from tough senators. But my favorite is, “What is a woman?” asked by Senator Blackburn. “Do you regret it or not?” The question posed by Senator Hawley about the sentencing of defendants in a child porn case.

Is Ketanji Brown Jackson soft on child porn offenders? Congress sets the guidelines, which she followed.

The questions you ask are rooted in conspiracy theories/QAnon. She follows legal sentencing guidelines. Republicans also said she called Rumsfield and Bush war criminals. Lies. She never said that.
