MOB: Stand up to bullies

Dear School Board and Patriots,

I am so thankful the school board and district staff are all safe after the violent mob disrupted the board meeting and district office functions on Friday, Sept. 24.

I implore the board (and the entire community) to stand up to these violent, vocal bullies. Set an example for the kids we are responsible for guiding and protecting. Show them that bullies do not win.

As a longtime Coeur d’Alene resident, I am saddened by this mob mentality. The members of this mob call themselves patriots and Christians. Their behaviors contradict these claims. They are selfish bullies.

Patriots work to protect our country and our people from dangers. Patriots would mask up to protect their neighbors from a virus. It’s a simple act with profound effects. It is an act of kindness, not communism or socialism. It is not infringing on your rights. It is allowing kids the right to go to school. Each citizen has the ability to help stop the spread of this virus. To allow our kids to stay in school.

DO YOUR PART.

Jesus teaches his followers to protect those without protection. Get a vaccine and wear a mask to keep the kids and the vulnerable population safe. It’s what Jesus would do. It’s patriotic.

True patriots wear masks and protect their fellow citizens. True Christians act with love and kindness, not violent mob behavior.

Please stand up to the bullies: Implement a mask mandate. Protect our kids!
