COVID: Breakthrough cases noted
Did you hear last week’s news about that nursing home in Colville, Wash.? The Pinewood Terrace Nursing Center had 74 cases of COVID and 33 patients were fully vaccinated. That’s 45% breakthrough cases!
We were told just last month that “breakthrough cases are incredibly rare” (Arielle Dreher, Spokesman, Aug. 16). One fully vaccinated patient in the nursing home died. I wonder if it was from the virus or the vaccine.
Now that the vaccine‘s credibility is in jeopardy, maybe they’ll mention the underlying health conditions or print a list of the adverse effects so people can at least make an educated decision. Can we trust them to be listened to again? Since when is 45% incredibly rare?
Next they’ll tell us the vaccine doesn’t protect against the new variant, just to sell the booster. How many shots are you willing to get and how many trials are you willing to go through?
