PREP ROUNDUP: Sandpoint girls, Coeur d'Alene boys triumph

CONNELL, Wash. — Sandpoint junior Ara Clark won the girls race in 20 minutes, 16 seconds, leading the Bulldogs to the team title at the 19-team Connell Invitational on Saturday.
Sandpoint senior Megan Oulman was second in 20:57 and senior Makenzie Suhy-Gregoire fourth in 21:30 as the Bulldogs finished with 28 team points.
Coeur d’Alene sophomore Anne Marie Dance was sixth in 21:48, leading the Vikings to a runner-up finish with 63 points.
Coeur d’Alene freshman Max Cervi-Skinner was second in the boys race in 17:13, leading the boys to the team title in the 26-team field. Sophomore Jacob King was fourth (17:21) and freshman Zach Cervi-Skinner fifth (17:24) for Coeur d’Alene, which finished with 34 points.
Sandpoint senior Spencer Clark was 10th (17:45) to lead the Bulldogs to a third-place finish.
Mt. Spokane senior Luke Zwiesler won the boys race in 16:31.
Post Falls’ Wood wins again, takes
Bellevue Invitational
BELLEVUE, Wash. — Post Falls senior Sammie Wood won the girls varsity No. 1-2 race at the Bellevue Invitational, finishing in 17 minutes. 12.12 seconds at Lake Sammamish State Park.
Post Falls junior Annastasia Peters was second in 17:38.1.
Wood and Peters were the lone Trojans runners to compete in the No. 1-2 race.
Post Falls freshman Kaylynn Miser was third in the No. 3-4 race in 19:41.

Nate Anderson had four saves for Timberlake (7-1-2, 6-0-1 IML).
