DMV: Accept private help

With the backlog of appointments for vehicle titling and registration, it is time to allow for private entities to assist local government DMV with registering and titling vehicles.

I lived in Pennsylvania for 25 years. Pennsylvania allows notary publics to submit the necessary documentation to the PA DOT, allowing citizens to obtain titles and registrations in a timely manner for a reasonable fee.

If Republicans in this state are indeed as “free market” as they claim to be, this would be a great way to ease wait times and pressure on local offices. It’s time to get something done right as a real service to all citizens, and perhaps be less concerned with the self-service I’ve observed recently.
