NIC golf coach Grove ties for eighth at PNW PGA Professional Championship

MOLALLA, Ore. — North Idaho College men's and women's golf coach Russell Grove finished tied for eighth at the Pacific Northwest PGA Professional Championship on Thursday at the Arrowhead Golf Club.

Grove, the champion in 2017 and '18, shot 69-69-70—208, 5 under par, one shot out of seventh place.

The top seven finishers qualify for the 2022 PGA Professional Championship in Austin, Texas, on April 17-20, 2022.

At that tourney, the top 20 finishers earn a place in the 104th PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., in May 2022.

Colin Inglis of Shadow Hills Country Club in Junction City, Ore., won the the event by three strokes over Austin Hurt of Bainbridge Island, Wash. Inglis, who won the Rosauers Open Invitational in Spokane in July, fired rounds of 64-68-68—200, 13 under par for the 54 hole event.
