Chuck Adams, 86

| September 24, 2021 1:00 AM

Chuck Adams, 86, the most wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend that anyone could’ve ever had, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. Chuck was born in Coeur d’Alene on Sept. 6, 1935, to Charles “Lester” Adams and Agnes (Anderson) Adams.

As a true North Idaho native, he was part of the many advances and growth in the area. There was no doubt that he loved this city by the lake.

Chuck enlisted in the Navy in 1955 and proudly served his country aboard the U.S.S. Lexington. In 1958, once leaving the Navy, he had the great fortune of meeting the love of his life, Margie. What started off as a blind date, turned into over 60 years of wedded bliss. After some schooling, working in the mines and for Singer sewing machines, he went to work for the Allstate Insurance Company. He retired in 2000 with a successful 34-year career in the insurance industry.

Besides being a devoted family man, he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling, spending time at his cabin in the woods and especially enjoyed his and Margie’s lake place on Lake Coeur d’Alene.

He was preceded in death by his oldest son Chuck Jr., and is survived by his wife Margie, son’s Craig and Steve (Candace) and daughter Keri. Grandchildren Jacqui (Oskar), Jake (Michele), Marie (Shane), Chuckie (Madi), Rocky and Wesley. Great-grandchildren Maliyah, Summer, Jett, Jada, Rowan and London.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Oct. 2, 2021, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N 4th St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
