College of Idaho cross country

Hunt, a sophomore from Timberlake High, earned his second-straight Cascade Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor. Hunt earned the won at the Eastern Oregon Invite — his second championship of the young 2021 season. Hunt traversed the 4.3 mile course at La Grande Country Club in 22 minutes, 2 seconds, 14 seconds faster than any other runner — helping the Coyotes to a second-place team finish.

Lewis-Clark State volleyball

Dean, a junior from Timberlake High, was named Cascade Conference Defender of the Week. Dean was dominant from the service line as well as in the back row, making 22 straight serves without an error against Walla Walla on Tuesday and had a career-high five aces in the process. The libero tallied 12 digs in the match before adding an impressive 21 on Friday. In Saturday's victory over Evergreen State, Dean collected 18 digs and dished out six assists. She totaled eight aces, 13 assists and 51 digs over the week.
