| September 22, 2021 1:00 AM

Michael “Mike” Lee Reynolds, 75, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021. Mike was born in Coeur d’Alene on Jan. 12, 1946, to Milton “Bill” Reynolds and Pearlie (Bradbury) Reynolds.

Mike grew up in Rathdrum and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1964. He studied electronics at NIC. He married Peggy Ann Bruninga in Coeur d’Alene on June 17, 1967. He worked throughout the west in Portland, Ore., Los Alamos, N.M. and Salt Lake City, Utah, before moving back to Rathdrum in 1984. He served on the Pinegrove Cemetery Board for 23 years.

Mike was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1968. He and Peggy were sealed in Cardston, Alberta Temple for all eternity on Sept. 2, 1972. He held many callings but enjoyed 50-milers with the young men, girls camp outings and scouting. He also served as a Bishop of the Lakeland 1st Ward.

He loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing, genealogy and working on projects around the house. He loved to travel to sporting events that his grandchildren participated in and playing games with his family. He always had a dad joke to share and enjoyed making his kids' eyes roll while his grandchildren laughed.

He loved God and his family and worked hard to share his faith and help his children and grandchildren focus on the important things. While he is temporarily separated from them, he will be remembered as one that was always trying to make the next right choice.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Mike is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy; his sister, Jean McCrite, many nephews, nieces and cousins; children: Bill and Brandee (Lewiston), Jason and Christina (Meridian), Travis (Rathdrum), Jared and Malia (Emmett), Ryan and Annie (Munds Park, Ariz.), and Julie and Lenny Leigh (Rathdrum). He loved to hold and see his 29 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a memorial service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at the Lakeland Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
