MACLENNAN: Support for president

As very concerned citizens we are writing to encourage the NIC trustees to approve the contract of Dr. Rick MacLennan to continue in his position as president of North Idaho College. We know Dr. MacLennan personally, and confirm that he is a man of integrity with skilled leadership ability.

In these especially volatile times, to terminate Dr. MacLennan’s position would leave NIC vulnerable to instability and failure as an institution of higher education so desperately needed in our community right now.

We are conservative, lifelong Republican, Christian grandparents. Several of our grandchildren have attended NIC during Dr. MacLennan’s tenure and we have seen the results of the education and positive experience they received there.

Please do not undermine him with a personal agenda contrary to a college trustee’s role. Step up and show your non-partisan leadership for the benefit of NIC and the community.
