The Trojans senior won the girls race at the Mountain West Classic on Saturday in Missoula, finishing in 18 minutes, 14 seconds to top a field of 328 runners. "Sammie represents all that we aspire to create in our program," Post Falls coach Brian Trefry said. "We want all of our athletes to develop to their fullest potential and be great teammates. Sammie has done that and more. Sammie has grown from a runner who was relatively new and inexperienced to a seasoned veteran who knows herself and keeps growing and improving. She has put herself into a position to launch herself into the college level of running and excel in that area as well."
