POLICE PAY: Use state surplus

A recent article in The Press stated baristas make about the same wages as the police. If the politicians and bean counters can’t find the funds to pay law enforcement equitable salaries as other states and cities do, give all law enforcement officers an exemption from paying Idaho state income tax and the grocery tax.

Idaho state coffers are bulging with a billion dollar surplus, so let’s share this bounty with these wonderful people who put themselves in harm’s way every day to protect us.

The church does not pay taxes so if you need help, who you gonna call?
