Prost!

Though the celebration in Munich is canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Oktoberfest show will go on in downtown Coeur d’Alene Friday and Saturday.

Presented by the Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association, the two-day bash will feature live music, more than 30 beers and ciders, a biergarten and plenty of German food.

The festival opens at 4 p.m. Friday and goes until 9 p.m., then reopens at noon Saturday and bids attendees Auf Wiedersehen at 9 p.m.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased online or at the event, although door sales are dependent on availability and not guaranteed.

Ticket purchase is good on Friday and Saturday at all Oktoberfest locations.

Check in at the Coeur d’Alene Plaza Shops at 210 E. Sherman Ave. near Taphouse Unchained.

Entry for children and designated drivers is free when accompanied by a ticket holder.
