PREP FOOTBALL: Lake City, St. Maries fall big
SEATTLE — A first-half safety was all the scoring the Lake City Timberwolves could muster in a 42-2 loss to the Garfield Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.
Lake City (1-1) trailed Garfield (2-0) 14-2 at halftime.
No other information was reported.
Lake City plays host to Moses Lake (0-2) on Friday.

ST. MARIES — The visiting Scotties of Rockford, Wash., limited the Lumberjacks to 149 total yards of offense in a nonleague win at St. Maries High.
St. Maries running back Dylan Larson scored on a 16-yard run in the third quarter, and finished with a team-high 69 yards rushing. Ethan Kolar ran for 60 yards for St. Maries (0-3), which hosts Lakeland on Friday.
It was the season opener for Freeman.
