NIC VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals take two at Pierce crossover

PUYALLUP, Wash. — North Idaho College opened the Pierce College Crossover with a pair of pool play wins on Friday.

NIC beat Green River 3-0, then defeated Shoreline 3-0 in its second pool play match.

Statistics were not available.

“It was a rough start of the day,” NIC coach Kelsey Stanley said. “But we got better through the second game.”

NIC (4-1) faces Rogue, then will continue into bracket play today.

The tournament concludes on Sunday.
