HOUSING: Good work, Cd’A

| September 10, 2021 1:00 AM

My wife and I spent the night of Sept. 1 in Coeur d’Alene during our return from Yellowstone National Park to our home in Portland. In the morning, our motel, the Holiday Inn Express, made copies of The Press available to guests free of charge.

We were very impressed with the quality of the local coverage and of the writing. We regard the front-page article in the Sept. 2 edition, “Chipping away at housing crisis” as exceptional.

I’ve been involved with affordable housing issues in the Portland area for 20 years; I found Ms. Goldman Hilbert’s presentation to be insightful, articulate and humane. This is information that the people of your community need. I plan to forward the article to the executive director of the nonprofit I support; I’m hopeful either that she’s acquainted with Maggie Lyons, or that she’ll seek her out.
