BREMERTON, Wash. — The West Spokane 13u All-Stars of Spokane, a team which includes Trey Lambert, 12, of Coeur d'Alene, placed second in the National Car Rental PGA Junior League Regional at Gold Mountain Golf Club last weekend.

For the 13u players, day one (Saturday) of the Regional consisted of an 18-hole aggregate stroke play scramble competition, counting the top three of four scores. West Spokane All-Stars shot an aggregate total of 189 on day one, trailing the Thanksgiving Point All-Stars by six points. The two faced off in match play on Sunday for the title. Using PGA Jr. League 9-hole, two-person scramble match play format on Sunday, Thanksgiving Point won 9-3 over West Spokane.

With the victory, Thanksgiving Point advances to the National Car Rental PGA Junior League Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., Oct. 7-10.

The other seven players on the eight-person West Spokane team live in Spokane.
