HEALTH CARE: Show some respect

| September 8, 2021 1:00 AM

Staffs at Kootenai Health and other hospitals, first responders and other health providers are working long strenuous hours away from their families to care for excessive COVID patients, most of whom have refused to be vaccinated.

They deserve the respect of everyone in this area; they’re not getting it.

Many churches and their leaders have become anti-vaxxers, refusing to wear masks and promoting rejection policies. This is disrespect to our children, their teachers and those most vulnerable to the disease.

Try one dose of the vaccine; if you show no ill-effects, get the second. If you get sick, don’t get the second.

If you object to putting a foreign substance in your body, consider this. You do that every day; it’s called eating and drinking.

We must follow and respect the guidance of our health care professionals. Without them, our hospitals will shut down and many of us will needlessly lose our lives.
