COVID: Doctors, see these stats

In response to the front page editorial “Open letter: Medical professionals urge path forward for schools”:

According to the Centers for Disease Control (go to data.cdc.gov/), as of Sept. 1, 2021 Year to Date, of America’s 73,000,000 children age 0-17 there have been 400 COVID deaths and 908 influenza deaths. In the age group 65 and older there are 46,000,000 people and 496,000 deaths from COVID and 449,000 from influenza.
