COEUR d'ALENE — A tribute to country legend George Jones and other favorites is coming to Coeur d'Alene later this month.

The “Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes” concert is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 25, at the Lake City Center. It was conceived and written by Anthony Williams and Rusty Jackson. Williams and his band, "Upriver Drive," and Jackson and Chrissy Summering play over 100 dates a year throughout the western United States. They are joined on this show by a full backing band.

"Using one of George Jones biggest hit songs as a framework, this show will take you on a journey of musical memories that cover Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and many more," a press release said.

Jackson, Summering, Williams and the INCMA band will perform "the songs you love and tell some of the stories from behind the scenes."

"It's like an episode of the PBS special "The History of Country Music" performed live just for you," the release said.

The show is being sponsored by the Inland Northwest Country Music Association, which recently sponsored a local awards show and the Merle Haggard Tribute show “Hagfest” in Coeur d’ Alene.

For tickets, go to www.GeorgeJonesTribute.com or stop by the Lake City Center.
