PREP ROUNDUP: Charter girls start fast, down Timberlake

POST FALLS — Junior Rebekah Hines recorded a hat trick and added an assist for Coeur d’Alene Charter in a 7-0 win over the Timberlake Tigers in an Intermountain League match at The Fields at Real Life on Wednesday.

Isabella Lucky had two goals and an assist for Coeur d’Alene Charter (3-0, 3-0 IML), which faces Priest River on Friday at The Fields.

“We were able to make some good connecting passes that got us wide and then in behind their defense in the first half, which helped bring a barrage of goals,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Stacy Smith said. “Hats off to Timberlake for adjusting and making it difficult to find the goal in the second half. Kudos to Timberlake’s keeper and back line, they played their hearts out.”

Timberlake (2-1, 0-1) hosts St. Maries on Tuesday.

POST FALLS — Jacob Simpson scored in the 65th minute for the Tigers in an Intermountain League win over the Panthers at The Fields at Real Life.

“The entire team came together to fight off a very good Charter team,” Timberlake coach Justin Mooney said.

Nate Anderson had six saves for Timberlake (2-0-1, 2-0-0 IML), which hosts St. Maries on Tuesday.

Coeur d’Alene Charter (1-1-1, 1-1-1) faces Priest River at The Fields at Real Life on Friday.
