PHD: Help wanted — no, needed

| September 1, 2021 1:00 AM

Dear Medical Reserve Corp Volunteer,

Please accept my sincere thanks and appreciation for the lifesaving service you have and continue to provide our community during this insidious pandemic. Unfortunately, with the significant rise in cases, the need for your service is greater than ever.

Panhandle Health District’s most important objectives are vaccinating and reducing the overwhelmed health care system. I ask for your help again to support us in these critical objectives. All skill sets and abilities are needed.

Examples of positions available include:

• All Medical Personnel (Doctors, RN’s, LPN’s, MA’s, etc., with Idaho or multi-state license)

• Case Investigators

• Data-entry clerks

• Call-center staff

• Testing order writers

• Clerical assistance

• Billing clerks

• Clinic logistics

• Vaccine distribution

• Human resources assistant

Opportunities can be volunteer or paid positions (with benefits) and are available at Panhandle Health District and/or other health care providers such as Kootenai Health.

If your Idaho medical license is expired, it is easy to get a temporary due to the pandemic.

Please contact Nanette Swendig at nswendig@phd1.idaho.gov or call Nan at 208-415-5185 if you can help.

Also, I invite you to reach out to your friends, family or neighbors who may be interested in becoming an MRC Volunteer. To volunteer with the MRC, visit www.volunteeridaho.com to register.

Your expertise and experience are vital in beating back this pandemic. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

DON DUFFY

Interim Director

Panhandle Health District
